Letter from Your 2016 President:

Dear Lettermen,

Howdy, I hope this letter finds you and your families doing well.  As we come into 2016, I am reminded of the hard work, accomplishments, and challenges of the past year. The Texas A&M Lettermen’s Association has so much to be proud of, but we also have a great responsibility to those that have come before us. Maintaining our great traditions and paying homage to the past, but also forging an innovative path for the future.

I want to challenge us all to take on a “Lettermen United” approach and focus for this year. Every Letterman is important to this organization.  We have the privilege and responsibility to upholding what The Lettermen’s Association stands for and its continued legacy. Texas A&M University has always evolved and changed, but the one thing that hasn’t changed is how Aggies feel about one another. Lettermen have a different bond…the bond of countless hours spent on a team or individual sport. We have all bled for the maroon and white. This binds us together forever and is the very essence of this organization. I’m so proud of our Lettermen’s Club because it is the Lettermen themselves whom we are founded upon and their generous contributions. I want to publicly thank all of our Lettermen, our staff led by Assistant Athletic Director Cathy Capps, and the leadership of our Board of Directors for affording this world class facility to us all. As our Past President David Heath always stated about the Lettermen’s Club… “You will always have a place to call home at Texas A&M!”

I ask that Lettermen reach out to their fellow teammates and implore them to join this organization to the benefit of themselves and this great organization. We need communication between us all to keep this organization strong. I want every Letterman to feel they have a voice and that they are a vital part of this organization. As our athletic department’s greatest asset, former letter winners bridge together athletes from the past, present, and future.  That means YOU are a vital part of Texas A&M athletics and I personally want to invite you to become a member of the Texas A&M Lettermen’s Association.

Thank you for your participation and please feel free to contact me anytime.

Your President,

Cordell Lindsey – `00 (Baseball)
